Severe fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome (SFTS) caused by SFTS virus (SFTSV), a
novel phlebovirus, was reported to be endemic to central and northeastern PR China and
was also to be endemic to South Korea and western Japan. SFTS is an emerging viral
